£20,000 of stock stolen from Yelverton bike shop recovered by police

A BIKE shop in Yelverton had more than £20,000 worth of stock stolen on Sunday (July 2) which was soon recovered by Devon and Cornwall Police.

Six high value pedal cycles were stolen from Rockin Bikes, Yelverton, around 4.30am. It was reported that alarms at the property sounded at around 4am and the police were alerted.

The police recovered the stolen property which was located in a Ford Transit van with registration number YL03 AYV, in Horrabridge.

Investigating officer DC Lugger is asking for any information in relation to the movements of the Ford Transit van which is believed to have come from out of the Devon and Cornwall Force area.

Enquiries are still ongoing in relation to this burglary. Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to contact the police on 101 quoting CR/053248/17 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
