Cardiff City to take on the Lambs at Langsford Park

FOOTBALL manager Neil Warnock will be bringing his Championship side Cardiff City to Langsford Park on Monday. July 17, kick-off 7pm .

The starting XI will be picked from their first team squad and provides local football supporters the opportunity to watch their side compete against top quality professional players.

Three days later on Thursday, July 20, they have another attractive fixture against League Two’s Grimsby Town, when they come to Langsford Park for a 7pm kick-off.

On July 22 the first team entertain the Midland League side Highgate United, kick-off at 3pm.

The first team continue their preparations for the 2017/18 season by visiting Southern League Division One side Bristol Manor Farm on July 28, kick-off at 7.45 pm.

On July 30, the Peninsula League’s annual opening game of the season, between the league champions and league cup winners will take place for the Charity Bowl at Newton Abbot. League champions Tavistock will play league cup winners St Austell, kick-off at 3pm.

The Lambs then host Southern League Premier side Tiverton Town on August 2 in a 7.30pm kick-off before their opening league game away to Falmouth Town on Saturday, August 5, kick-off at 3pm.

On the transfer front, last year’s leading league goal scorer Glynn Hobbs has left the club to join Plymouth Parkway, who are managed by his brother Lee Hobbs.

Manager Stuart Henderson was quick off the mark and managed to secure the signature of another well known goal scorer Adam Carter, along with influential midfield player Dan Sullivan. Both signed from Bodmin Town.

The first team and reserves have been training together during pre-season.

The team have been back in training for two weeks, working very hard to improve their fitness levels and is looking forward to the coming season.
