ED PERSSE - NEW PLANNING CONSULTANT IN TAVISTOCK
Having worked for West Devon Borough Council for 15 years and a brief spell with a commercial land agency, Ed has realised his long term ambition of setting up his own planning consultancy – EJFP Planning.
Ed is a chartered Town Planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He gained his degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Dundee in 1993.
From 1995, he worked in the public sector with Torbay Borough Council and then West Devon Borough Council.
As a result he gained significant experience in a wide range of planning issues; from dealing with major housing developments and retailing developments to simple extensions; acting as an expert witness for the Council in both Planning Inquiries and in the Magistrates Court. He also has a great deal experience in dealing with complicated enforcement matters including ensuring compliance with legal agreements.
He left local government in August 2010 and moved into the private sector, joining a small planning and land agency. In October 2011 he set up EJFP Planning which provides planning advice and support to both the private and commercial developers. Other services offered include; pre application negotiations, submission of planning applications domestic/commercial/residential, planning appeals, master planning, site identification, review existing planning permissions or refusals, negotiating on section 106 agreements, affordable housing schemes.
