Three-day art workshop
Wednesday, 06 June 2012
INTERNATIONALLY renowned artist Mike Sibley will visit Northlew in July for a three-day workshop.
Sibley specialises in drawing animals, particularly dogs, using graphite pencil. Born in 1948, he studied at Leeds College of Art and Design, following a pre-diploma year in Manchester.
He has been a professional artist for more than 30 years, often spending over 200 hours on each of his monochromatic drawings. In 2006 his first book, ‘Drawing from Life to Line’, was published.
The workshops on July 20 to July 23 aim to show artists both novice and advanced to learn the secrets of successful realistic drawing. The sessions will be broken down into step-by-step techniques, starting with the basic through to a final drawing.
For more information, visit www.sibleyfineart.com, or call Mr Sibley on 01845 501506.
