Commonwealth flower festival theme

Wednesday, 13 June 2012

ALMOST all the 14 churches which make up the Okehampton Northmoor Team will be taking part in this year’s flower festival which will be held at St Bridget’s Church, Bridestowe, from June 29 to July 1 between 10.30am and 5pm.
Refreshments and a cake and plant stall will be available throughout and the festival will culminate with a special celebration service on Sunday July 1 at 6.30pm.
The very topical theme of ‘The Queen’s Commonwealth’ is providing the arrangers with a rich source of inspiration from the flags and flowers of the Commonwealth countries which will be represented.
Organisers look forward to welcoming visitors from far and wide.
