FIREFIGHTERS from Okehampton and Hatherleigh were called to deal with an incident on the A386 at Folly Gate on Bank Holiday Monday (August 28).

Two crews attended and on arrival just before 5.30pm found a forage harvester well alight on the roadway.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which damaged approximately 30% of the vehicle. The cause was deemed accidental.
