THE Catholic churches of Okehampton and Chagford held their annual fair in the Charter Hall on November 17, raising £1,700.

Opened by Father Darline Marianathan and attended by ministers of other Okehampton churches, parishioners sold raffle tickets and provided goods for sale on the day.

Tables were laid out with home-made cakes and jams, while supporters made bacon rolls and coffees for visitors.

Father Marianathan drew the winning raffle tickets, with the lucky winner taking home a hamper filled with bottles of wine and food delicacies.

The money raised will support the work of the church in the community.
