CHILDREN and parents from Okehampton and North Tawton enjoyed making smoothies as part of Okehampton Children Centres summer holiday activity sessions.
The centre, which is managed by Barnardos, organised the events to promote healthy eating and to give children and adults an opportunity to try new and exotic fruits, as well as enjoy lots of other play activities.
A member of the public health team and staff from Waitrose supermarket also supported the sessions.
The centre staff expressed thanks to Waitrose section manager Charlotte Tucker, who attended the sessions and supplied lots of delicious and exotic fruit for the families to sample.
