THE Brentorians drama group is presenting an affectionate pastiche of Under Milk Wood — A Town Like Dead Wood from Today (Thursday) until Saturday in Brentor Village Hall.

Set in a small town in Wales during a recession, the play sees the life of the town reflected through cameos of various characters, including Mervyn the Milk, Farmer Ivor Prosser and spotty teenager Shane and his adored Persephone.

The play, written by Tony Layton, is free flowing and fast moving with actors taking on multiple roles. These funny and sad characters are supported by two narrators.

The performance lasts for just over an hour: on Friday and Saturday evenings the entertainment will be extended with the option of a pre-booked light meal served afterwards. The Saturday matinee will be followed by an optional cream tea.

All welcome to come and enjoy a fantastic night out in in the village hall.

Tickets from £3 adult, £2 child, £8 family ticket (two adults, two children). Meal or cream tea £3.

Evening – Hall opens 7.15pm for 7.45pm start. Matinée – 2.30pm start.
