WORK to resurface and repair worn surfaces on the A30 west of Whiddon Down and at Tongue End near Okehampton is due to take place in September.
The work has been scheduled between 8pm and 6am the following morning to reduce inconvenience to roadusers.
The work at Whiddon Down will affect approximately two miles of carriageway west of the junction on the night of Monday 21 September.
A convoy system will be in operation under which drivers will follow a marked works vehicle through the roadworks.
A series of speed limits will be in force, reducing to 10mph through the convoy for the safety of the workforce and other roadusers. The work will provide a quieter surface and a smoother journey for drivers.
Work to repair the surface of the A30 eastbound entry sliproad at Tongue End will take place on the night of Tuesday 22 September.
Traffic wishing to use this sliproad will follow a clearly signed diversion along the B3260 and follow through Sticklepath and South Zeal until A382, then rejoin A30 eastbound at Whiddon Down roundabout.
