DARING fundraisers will take the plunge over Meldon Viaduct later this year to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The adrenaline-fuelled fundraiser is being organised for March 24 2013, with daring souls being enrolled already.

The historic Victorian bridge provides a great challenge for abseilers, with a 100ft descent to the valley floor below.

The event will help raise funds for Marie Curie nurses to care for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses.

Registration costs £10, and those abseiling are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100.
