STEVE Yates and The Alchemist's Wardrobe are among the acts to perform at this month's meeting of the Okehampton Acoustic Club.

Steve is a virtuoso award-winning guitarist and composer, and will perform new and original works on the night.

The Alchemist's Wardrode will bring their earthly melodies, atmospheric beats and soaring vocals to the club, exploring the realms of folk world fusion with a didgeridoo, slide sitar, the bodhran and much more.

Rob and Sue For's close harmony singing with guitar and double bass will explore topical issues, their own lives and those of the people around them. They also play covers drawn from 30 years of folk and other musical influences.

The club's hosts and founders Troubadour's Garden will also perform a set.

The meeting takes place in the Ockment Centre on Saturday, May 11. Doors open at 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start. Entry costs £2.50 per person, and people are asked to bring their own refreshments.
