'THE Queen's Commonwealth' was the theme for a flower festival at St Bridget's , Bridestowe, which involved many churches from the Okehampton area.
Pictured top right are co-ordinators of the event, and lower right is Canada, the entry from All Saints Church, Okehampton.
St Bridget's chosen country was the UK and the church also displayed 'Coronation Colours' in three niches and a pedestal on the theme of the Commonwealth.

Bridestowe Methodist Church,?Kenya; St Michael and All Angels, Meeth, Malaysia; St Mary the Virgin, Bratton Clovelly, India; St Thomas a Becket, Sourton,?New Zealand; St Thomas of Canterbury, Northlew, Seychelles, St?German's, Germansweek, Tonga; St Petroc's, Inwardleigh, Jamaica; St John the Baptist, Hatherleigh, South Africa; St Petroc's, Lydford, Australia.
Uganda was the subject for Launceston Floral Art Group, Singapore for Sampford Courtenay Flower Club, and the desk-top at the front of the church was decorated with a jubilee theme by Tree Tops Pre-school and the pillars with flags of the Commonwealth by Bridestowe Primary School.
