ITS time to enjoy a traditional family day out in the heart of Dartmoor Chagford Show is here!
The show, which takes place today (Thursday) will provide something for everyone. More than 1,000 competitors and exhibitors are expected to enter the showground, which has been established for over 110 years.
There will be plenty to keep all entertained, with animals, riding, crafts, photography, horticulture, wine and food, and a variety of competitions for all ages from four years old and over.
Around 50 different entrants for the livestock classes will show more than 300 animals between them, as well as 245 horse competitors.
There will be three arenas for show jumping and pony competitions and a main ring which will be used for display events and final parades of the winners.
Visitors can also enjoy the vintage section with a variety of vehicle displays, including pumps, tractors, cars and motorcycles all over 25 years old.
The flower and horticulture hall will house a larger entry than last year and has been increased to 5,000sq ft.
Everyone is welcome. Judging for some of the horses starts at 8.30am. Visitors can pay at the gate and entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children.
