THE fantastic weather brought out the crowds at Okehampton Primary School Fair at the weekend with around £2,000 expecting to be made for school funds.

The day was organised by the Parent, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) and was a great success with the stocks proving a particular hit — headteacher Hazel Fox and chair of governors Della Ball both took their turns.

There was a barbecue, fairground rides, Okehampton Community Recreation Association providing activities and dancers from Footsteps Dance School in Okehampton entertaining the crowds.

All the classes had their own stalls ranging from games to second-hand books and plants.

There was also a raffle and wine and chocolate tombola.

The PTFA expressed thanks to everyone who donated food and items and supported the day by turning up.
