FOLLOWING a tradition running back many years, the churches of Okehampton will be joining together for a walk of witness tomorrow (Good Friday).
The walk will leave St Boniface Church in Station Road at 10am and follow a large wooden cross to St James' in Fore Street, where a service will take place at 10.30am.
The churches involved are All Saints Parish Church, Fairplace Methodist and United Reformed Church, Inspiration Church of the Nations, New Life Church, Okehampton Baptist Church, St Boniface Church, the Society of Friends.
Everyone is welcome to join in the walk and those attending are asked to gather at St Boniface before 10am.
Chairman of Christians Together, the Rev Mike Davies, said: 'It is good that for many years Okehampton has had a tradition of the churches joining together to walk in witness commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.'
The next Christians together in Okehampton combined church service will be at Okehampton Castle on Sunday May 10 at 5pm.
The annual meeting for CTIO will be on Thursday May 14 at St Boniface Church.
