TIME is running out to enter the annual annual Pumpkin Competition at RHS Garden Rosemoor in Great Torrington.
The deadline for entry to the competition is October 10 so gardeners still have a few weeks to perfect their pumpkin and be in with a chance to be a winner.
Pumpkin day (sponsored by Edwin Tucker & Sons Ltd), will be held on Sunday October 26 at Rosemoor and this year it will be bigger and better than ever
From the fantastic competition and prize giving ceremony to a Pumpkin Shy, Cookery Demonstrations and Pumpkin Trails with prizes, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
There is also a chance to draw a pumpkin as part of the National Big Draw Event.
There are five children's classes in this year's pumpkin competition — heaviest pumpkin (from seed provided by Rosemoor), smallest pumpkin (from seed provided by Rosemoor), ugliest pumpkin face, wackiest pumpkin and best lantern. The two adults classes are wackiest pumpkin and best lantern.
All winners will be given a rosette and a fantastic prize, but all entrants receive a small reward.
Entry forms and rules are still available by sending an A5 SAE to Pumpkin Competition, RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, Devon, EX38 8PH or calling 01805 626800.
