ARTISTS in the Okehampton area are being invited to send in artwork for a new exhibition being held in the town’s Charter Hall.

The exhibition is being organised by Ocmundtune Creative Arts on behalf of Okehampton Town Council. The first exhibition will run from November to May.

‘The aim is not only to provide a display space to encourage local artists to show their works and create awareness and enjoyment of the visual arts but also utilise the facility and brighten up the hall,’ said Paul Vachon from Ocmundtune.

‘Artworks will be on display for a six-month period. This exhibition will not only help support existing and budding artists of all ages and abilities but also enhance the cultural legacy of the town.’

Artists can submit up to four works of art for the exhibition, which can be paintings, photographs and prints.

Entry is free, and the work can be for sale, with commission charged at 30% on any work sold.

Applications can be submitted at the town council office on Fore Street by 2.30pm on Thursday, November 9 or via the website www.ocmundtune. wix.com/creativearts by November 10.

Images need to be included, which should be no larger than 1MB.

All artists submitting work will be informed whether they have been successful by November 15.
