LOCAL medieval crime writer Michael Jecks is visiting Okehampton Library later this month to talk about his work.

Michael, famous for the Knights Templar series of books, will discuss his life on North Dartmoor with his wife, their children, and how walking his two dogs over the moors and ancient tracks give him time to research his novels. Other areas of discussion include the Medieval Murderers, a group of authors set up by Michael who tour the country with their entertaining act of anectodes, jokes and stories.

Tickets to the talk, on Wednesday June 22 at 7.30pm,which include refreshments, are just £3 and must be booked in advance.
