INSPIRATION Church in Okehampton held its annual ladies' away weekend last week.

The event is organised by the Okehampton Church and this year more than 90 ladies attended the weekend at the Sidholme Hotel, Sidmouth.

The main speaker was Edna Els from South Africa, a well respected international speaker on ladies' mentoring.

The Reverend Mike Davies, of the Inspiration — Church of the Nations Okehampton, said: 'The ladies' weekend has been running for many years now and each year the numbers have increased.

'Many of the ladies find it a good time to relax away from the normal pressures of life.'

Mr Davies said plans were already well advanced for next year's event, which would again be held in Sidmouth.
