TWO Okehampton College students represented Devon at the South West English Schools combined events competition.
The event was held over a weekend and was between seven counties in the South West.
Becca Chapman, aged 17, won the senior girls heptathlon winning four of her events (high jump, 200m, javelin and long jump) and coming second in the other three (800m, shot put and 100m hurdles).
Becca also achieved three personal bests in 200m, 800m and shot put. Becca's total score of 4524 put her into the top 10 highest scores.
The senior girls Devon team (Becca Chapman, Lauren Anning and Anna Rust) were overall winners with a combined score of 10,795 which was almost 200 points higher than the next team.
Josh Bush (15) represented Devon in the intermediate boys octathlon. This was his first year doing the octathlon having only started combined events last season doing the pentathlon.
Josh did really well coming sixth out of 17 other 15-16 year olds, with a personal best in 100m hurdles, 1500m and long jump.
