A FORAGER was left completely destroyed by fire last Thursday, in an open field in Exbourne. Firefighters from Hatherleigh and North Tawton attended at 6.40pm and found the forager well alight, and requested a third appliance to attend for water. A fire appliance and a four wheel drive vehicle from Okehampton attended. In addition to destroying the forager, the blaze damaged approximately ten square metres of grass. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one compressed air foam jet and small tools to deal with the incident. l FIREFIGHTERS from Okehampton were called to the car park at Sourton Cross Travelodge last Thursday, after reports of a car leaking petrol. One crew attended just after 9pm and used environmental pads to make the vehicle and aea safe.
