Chagford 2

Bow AAC 4

BOW have proved to be Chagford's 'bogey' team this season and deservedly left the Memorial Ground with the three points on Saturday.

From the start, the visitors went at Chagford and were unfortunate to not be two goals up within the first 15 minutes.

Chagford's midfield seemed to be missing for great periods though, when they did play football, they looked better. All too often there was too much reliance on the long ball forward.

It came as something of a surprise when Chagford took the lead on 30 minutes. Davis drove forward, laid the ball of to Steve Scott and the big forward rammed home his 11th league goal of the season. The goal sparked more life into Bow and the hosts' lead lasted just a little over ten minutes.

Gavin Coles took advantage of another melee in the Chagford penalty area and fired the ball into the roof of the home net.

The second half followed much the same pattern as the first as Chagford again went ahead, this time through Steve Kinsey's smart finish from a Davis pull-back. Bow again took full advantage of hesitant play from the home side, Coles' second and a double from Will Hawkin securing a fine away win.
