THIS year's Festival of Remembrance will take place at the Great Hall, University of Exeter on Thursday, November 8.

Starting at 7pm, participants will include the Military Wives' Choir from Lympstone and the Band of the Royal Marines, Lympstone.

There will also be the usual muster of standards of county branches of the Royal British Legion as well as representatives of the Armed Forces, the emergency services and ex-services' associations.

Also taking part will be Devon's Cadets Forces and members of the various youth organisations.

A coach, for £2 per Royal British Legion member and £7 for non-members, will leave Fore Street, Okehampton, at 5.30pm on the day, to transport attendees to Exeter.

Festival tickets cost £8 and tickets and coach booking can be bought at the Okehampton branch Social Club in Station Road. Tickets purchased after September 30 will cost £10.
