OKEHAMPTON Simmons Bowling Club will host its first ever art exhibition on Saturday November 19 and Sunday November 20.

The exhibition will be made up of watercolour paintings and other works. One of the exhibitors, Alec Davey, will be selling paintings and donating one as a raffle prize to raise funds for the BBC Radio Devon Air Ambulance appeal.

He said: 'It's the first exhibition to be held at the bowling club. It will be something a bit different for the club, with several artists showing their work.'

Alec sold several paintings at the annual Belstone Arts and Crafts Group exhibition in August, raising £310 for the appeal. He recently presented a cheque to Matt Woodley from BBC Radio Devon.

The exhibition runs from 10.30am to 5pm on each day. There will be refreshments and a bar. Entry is free.
