OKEHAMPTON Educational Foundation’s scholarships and bursaries scheme for prospective students is proving popular already for the 2015/16 academic year with 70 people having applied for support.
The OEF, run by Okehampton United Charity, has a policy to provide grants to support individuals participating in higher, vocational and further education. Applications are considered for assistance with the cost of participating in full, part-time, day release and correspondence courses relating to employment or education.
Applicants must normally be resident in the Okehampton area or the hamlets for 12 months prior to the date of application and evidence of address must be provided. Applications are only accepted for consideration from September 1 to December 31 for £750 scholarships and full-time course bursaries. Work-based bursaries relating to apprenticeships and professional courses are accepted at any time.
More details on the scholarships are available online at www.okehamptoncharities.org.uk or by contacting Karen Percival on [email protected]
