THE 2443 Squadron of the Air Cadets is holding its annual open day on Saturday June 25.

The cadets will be showcasing a number of the activities they have taken part in throughout the last year, including Ten Tors and the Four Peaks Challenge. Guests will also be able to see a range of displays highlighting some of the regular disciplines that cadets regularly engage in, including field training, radio communications and adventure training.

This year the squadron is inviting any former staff or cadets to attend, together with cadets, friends and family.

The open day starts at 11am at the Squadron HQ on Tors Road, Okehampton. A barbecue and refreshments will be available, with displays and exhibitions taking place throughout the day.

Those aged between 13 and 17 can join the cadets. The parade nights are Monday and Thursday from 7pm to 9.30pm, and the open day is the perfect chance to get a taste of the cadet experience.
