THE? Campaign to Protect Rural?England (CPRE) in Devon is hosting a Countryside Forum on Thursday, September 22 at Bridestowe Village Hall.
The organisation will be holding a forum focussing on the enjoyment and accessibility of Devon’s countryside.
The forum is free and open to all and will be a great opportunity for local residents to discuss and find out the latest news. Guests are welcome at the village hall in Bridestowe from 2pm until 4.30pm.
The countryside forum will feature a host of guest speakers who will discuss the current goings-on of the area.
Dr Michael Ireland, from OkeRail Community Interest Company, will discuss the campaign for the reinstatement of the Okehampton to Exeter railway line. Graham Cornish, Devon County Council Project Manager, will give an update regarding Devon’s cycle/bridle/footpaths.
South West Coast Path Association will be at the forum and guests will be able to find out about its exciting October challenge.
Director Phil Hutt, from Dartmoor Preservation Association will also attend the forum as a guest speaker.
CPRE Devon states that its mission is to protect the Devon countryside in a way that underpins the local economy whilst maintaining all that is best in the balance between necessary development and a tranquil, productive and beautiful environment.
The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) is a national charity founded in 1926 that has become, over the last 90 years, a front running charity aiming to preserve the English countryside.
CPRE Devon is an independent charity which focusses on Devon and the South West Peninsula.
