THE second dog show held at Jacobstowe by Dartmoor View Dog Rescue saw dog owners and their beloved canine companions enjoy a day of competition. The show held at The Gallops had 16 categories, including best puppy, best pedigree dog, best veteran dog, best rescue dog and waggiest tail. There were also obedience classes for well-trained pooches to prove their potential. The show was organised to raise money for the rescue. The non-profit making animal charity's sole aim is to rescue and re-home abandoned or unwanted dogs within the South West. Since being established over 18 months ago they have re-homed over a hundred dogs of various breeds. The charity's success is due to the devotion of all the volunteers who run the centre with funding from donations and fundraising events.
