I HAVE been looking for car breakers who would be willing to take away my wife's old car, and it was proving to be a bit of a problem. 

Then I read the Okehampton Times (June 27) and noticed the article about the 'Giveacar team' who are working on behalf of the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) and other charities.  I followed the process and without any fuss the car has now been taken away. 

I hope that more people will follow this example, as it is for a very good cause.

Most car breakers are only offing very low prices for scrap vehicles, so I am sure that there must be other people who would prefer to have their old vehicles taken away, and at the same time provide the much needed funds to assist the charities that are finding fundraising harder and harder each year.
