THE monthly play reading group that takes place at Castle Ham Lodge in Okehampton is moving its session this week.

The group usually meets on the first Friday of the month.

However, because in September it would fall during the bank holiday week, that session will be moved to the second Friday, September 8. 

It starts at 2.30pm in the Beech Room at Castle Ham Lodge on Castle Road.

The group is small and informal and read plays just for the enjoyment of it. 

New members or occasional visitors are very welcome to join us and there’s a £2 charge per session, with tea and biscuits included. 

Members read anything from a one-act comedy to a full length drama and they can suggest what they’d like to read in future sessions.

The group is a part of Time for Life, which runs a number of social groups specifically intended to help relieve isolation for the over 50s, although anyone at any age can come along.
