MUSIC, music, marvellous music will now be ringing out of a brand new studio at Okehampton Primary School.
The new studio was funded by a grant from the Okehampton Education Foundation and will provide a single function room for music tuition.
As music lessons can now be held in the purpose-built studio — it means they will no longer impact upon lessons in adjoining classrooms.
The dual benefit of this is the classrooms previously used for music lessons will be freed for intervention groups led by teaching assistants who would otherwise have to work in store rooms.

Wartime letters inspire Okehampton writer's novelHeadteacher Brian Cunnigham is delighted with the new studio and the opportunities it offers to youngsters at the school.
He said: 'It is a fantastic to resource for us. To be able to offer the range of musical opportunities we have in a dedicated room is great and we are incredibly lucky as a school to have it.'
The primary school expressed thanks to the Okehampton Education Foundation for funding the new studio.
