COMMUNITY Orchards are the central theme to this year's Apple Day at RHS Garden Rosemoor on Sunday, October 7.

There will be apple displays from Rosemoor, RHS Garden Wisley and Thornhayes Nurseries to help visitors to identify the apple varieties they have in their own gardens. Apple experts will be offering cultivation advice.

Visitors can also taste apples to help decide which to grow in their own gardens, and listen to Kevin Croucher from Thornhayes Nursery talk about culinary and dessert apples.

There will also be cookery demonstrations, stalls and children's activities.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
