CELEBRATIONS were in order at a West Devon primary school recently after it was praised in its latest inspection report.
Halwill Community Primary School was graded as overall good, with a substantial number of outstanding areas.
The 94 pupils of the school were praised for their 'excellent' behaviour and good progress and attainment.
To show their gratitude and pride in the students, the governing body of the school arranged for a tasty treat of cupcakes for every pupil. The pupils will only be allowed one each though, so as not to ruin their healthy lifestyles, which the inspector noted as 'outstanding'.

'We're now well placed as a school to move forwards with the aim of achieving outstanding in all areas in the near future.
'We also want to develop the school as a provision for the wider community.'
