Brixham v Chagford firsts

CHAGFORD suffered their first defeat of the season in their trip to Brixham in a low scoring game.   

Brixham batting first batted throught the 46 overs to finish on the moderate score of 184 for 9.   and were indebted to Lanyon 56 and M Orchard 28 for this total.  Mark Gribble 5-35 and Andy Anstey 2-38 were the main wicket takers for Chagford.

Chagford made a bright reply through Gribble but after he departed for 23 only Colin Mortimore 24 and Del Lammonby 19 made any reasonable contributions and Chagford were all out for a disappointing 151 their lowest score of the season to give Brixham victory by 33 runs.

Orchard completed a fine all round performance for Brixham with 7 for 34.

Brixham 19pts, Chagford 7pts

This loss means that Chagford first team drop from third in Division B to fifth.
