Chagford (pictured, the Grade II listed Market House) has made The Sunday Times list of the best places to live in the South West. The picturesque town on Dartmoor returns to the list after a couple of years’ absence and has been placed at number 3 behind Topsham in the top spot and Southville in Bristol in second place. The list also includes Falmouth in Cornwall, Lyme Regis in Dorset and Stroud in Gloucestershire. The judging was based on a wide range of factors, from employment, schools and broadband speed to culture, community spirit and local shops.
