OKEHAMPTON and District Community Transport Association is asking supporters to nominate the charity to receive £1,000 in a festive charitable giveaway. Financial services company Ecclesiastical is giving away £120,000 over 12 days in the run up to Christmas through its charitable arm Ecclesiastical Giving. They are asking members of the public to nominate charities, community interest companies and not-for-profit organisations to receive a grant, with the more votes each charity gets the more chance it has to be nominated. Manager Sue Wonnacott said they would appreciate as many people nominating the association as possible.
