IF you have had a stressful few weeks or are just feeling a bit below par, pop along to Okehampton annual community morning at the Charter Hall and Red Lion Yard on June 29 — and chill out.

This popular free information fair between 10am and 1pm will see Okehampton Medical Centre carry out free blood pressure and blood sugar level checks which could give early signs of stroke or diabetes as well as spot-checks on lung function for smokers or those with undiagnosed respiratory symptoms.

Among the 25 public and community organisations attending will be: Parklands Leisure Centre; West Devon Borough Council's Waste and Recycling advisers; Devon and Cornwall Fire Service; Devon County Council's Adult and Community Learning; Devon Carers; Devon Wheels 2 Work; Wessex Home Improvement Loans; and OCRA.

They can help you with health and fitness, personal safety, home security, transport; debt and budgeting; and independent living.

There are free light refreshments and free entry for all.
