A GROUP that discusses how Christian faith relates to modern life will meet at Refresh café tonight (Thursday).

The monthly Deeper group meetings focus on an issue and looks at how everyday life can be related to the teachings of Jesus and the bible. The meeting is held in a relaxed manner, with lots of opportunities for sharing ideas and getting to know others in the group. The club is moving from its previous meeting place of Toast to the Refresh café below the New Life Church.

This month's subject is 'Science and Religion: Why new atheism has got it wrong'. The Rev David Muir, pioneer minister in the Okehampton area, will be the speaker and there will be opportunity for discussion and questions.

Future evenings will tackle the issues of addiction and punishment. Meetings start at 7.30pm in the café. There will also be tea, coffee and soft drinks available.
