WHILE most have been enjoying the Indian summer during last week, Okehampton District Community Transport Group are busy planning for the Christmas season.

The group's ring and ride bus service will run as normal from Monday December 19 to Friday December 23. The service will then take a break for Christmas until Tuesday January 3 2012. To book a place on the January 3 service, call the co-ordinator Sue Wonnacott on 01837 55000 before 11am on Tuesday December 22.

The community car service will be running for medical and hospital appointments throughout the Christmas period, subject to availability of drivers. Please give as much notice as possible, as the office will be closed from Friday December 23 and will not re-open until January 3 2012. There will be no reply to answerphone messages until this date.
