THE churches of Hatherleigh are working together to bring The Easter Journey to life.

The event is being described as the biggest undertaking of bringing the Christian Easter story to life this part of the world has ever seen.

Inspired by a similar event in Germany, the town will see seven life sized interactive displays retelling the journey of Jesus from Palm Sunday, his donkey ride into Jerusalem and on through Holy week, remembering key moments, including his death and celebrations with his resurrection.

The Journey will come to life with guided tours, storytelling, activities and opportunities to reflect at each display.

All this will be taking place in a variety of ways from April 1 to 3, including a children's festival and specific youth event on Wednesday, April 1.
