A COFFEE morning to support the blind and partially sighted will be held at North Tawton Town Hall next week, to raise money for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

The North Tawton group will be holding the event on Saturday March 21 at 10.30am, when visitors can find information about RNIB services and enjoy home-made sponges and cakes.

The group has raised £51,095.61 over the years — the money has gone towards producing 50 new books for the Talking Book Library.

The service the library provides is a lifeline for people with sight loss, with books such as Harry Potter to Agatha Christie on offer among the 15,000 titles at the library.

Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the day, to book a table, or just to find out more about the event can phone Rose Dadds on 01837 82130.

To find out more about volunteering for RNIB for anything from two hours a year to two days a week phone Sharon Woodhams on 01626 334375 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
