THE people of North Tawton are once again supporting the RNIB by holding a coffee morning on May 21 at North Tawton Town Hall at 10am.

Rose Dadds, one of the organisers and supporter of RNIB said: 'We are inviting everyone to support their North Tawton neighbours — and come along to the event.'

There will be tasty homemade sponges and cakes on offer, all locally made and donated by friends and supporters of RNIB.

The town has already been supporting the blindness charity for a long time, with a weekly raffle organised by the Dadds family that raises funds for RNIB already in place. The raffles and other fundraising events have raised well over £50,000 for the RNIB's Talking Book Service.

This has led to more than 50 new books for the talking book library being produced. There are 15,000 titles to choose from, and the donations from North Tawton help to make it possible.

Tables for the coffee morning are available at £4 each, and can be booked by calling Rose Dadds on 01837 82130.
