THE Rev Sylvia Coke-Woods conducted the service of morning prayer at the parish church on Sunday. C Baker was duty sidesman and the lessons were read by Mrs P Carter and Mrs B Dibben.

Organist D Chivers played music by Dubois, Bruckner and Archer.

Evening prayer was conducted by Mrs P Durston, the organist being Mr Chivers, who also read a lesson.

On Sunday, May 26, the united family service will be in the Victory Hall at 11am. All welcome.

THE spring roast lunch in the Victory Hall in aid of the hall refurbishment fund was well attended, with around 70 people enjoying roast beef or vegetarian lunches. There was a bar and a raffle.
