AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday in lovely conditions a large field competed for the scratch and handicap trophies sponsored by Hyundai UK.

The winner of division one was Martin Aggett with a net 64 on countback from John Flavin also with 64, Jonathan Rattenbury winner of the Scratch Hyundai Trophy came third with gross 70 net 65.

Winner of division two was Steve Browne with a net 65 on countback from Ronald Copeland who came second also with a net 65, and in third place was Graham Starkey with a net 66.

Winner of division three and the Handicap Hyundai Trophy was Michael Hutchinson with gross 89 net 63, Dave Lawson came second with a net 64 and in third was John Latham with a net 67.

In the annual LGU Penny Deakin, in the silver division played a solid round of golf to record a net 72 which won her the breast cancer pin.

In second place was Pam Jarman who put up a good fight and came in with a net 73.

The bronze division was won by Doris Jewell with a net 75 closely followed by Linda Walker who scored a creditable net 76.
