WEST Devon Borough Council's Connect outreach team will be visiting towns and parishes next month. A borough council officer will be available to answer questions about public services. Everyone is welcome to drop in.
Guest agencies include Westcountry Housing who offer affordable rented accommodation, shared ownership properties, sheltered and supported housing and advice and support services.
For those with transport or mobility issues, frozen food home delivery service Oakhouse foods will be at some sessions as well as Okehampton and District Community Transport and Tavistock Area Support Services.
West Devon Connect will be visiting the following areas: October 4: Hatherleigh Market 9.30am–noon with advisors from the Citizens Advice Bureau and South West Water; October 4: Spreyton Village Hall 2pm–3.30pm with advisors from the Citizens Advice Bureau and Okehampton and District Community Transport; October 7 The Burrow Café, Exbourne 10am–noon with advisors from Oakhouse Foods; October 11: Lydford Coffee Morning and Rural Post Office, Nicholls Hall, Lydford 11am–2pm: with more than ten organisations including Action on Hearing Loss, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Devon County Council's adult education and learning, Tavistock Area Support Services, Westcountry Housing, the West Devon Active Villages project and other sports providers; October 14: Whiddons Eatery, Chagford 9.30am–noon with advisors from the Citizens Advice Bureau; October 18: Hatherleigh Market 9.30am–noon with advisors from the Citizens Advice Bureau and South West Water; October 28: Endecott House, Chagford 9.30am–noon with advisors from Oakhouse Foods demonstrating their products.
