The RIBA South West Awards recognise good, innovative architecture within the region. Shortlisted projects will now be assessed by a regional jury with the winners of an RIBA South West Award announced on Wednesday, June 12 at an awards ceremony in Swindon.
Regional winners can then be considered for a RIBA national award in recognition of their architectural excellence on a national platform. National winners are also announced on June 12.
The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will be drawn from the RIBA National Award winning buildings. The 2013 RIBA Stirling Prize will be announced on Thursday, September 26 in London.
Announcements in June will be followed up by the Great British Buildings series of talks and tours of RIBA award-winning buildings with the architect who created them, through a unique national series of talks and tours from the RIBA.
