DOG lovers in the Okehampton area are being invited to put their pets forward to take part in a new venture.

Photographer Sam Clark of Farlap Photography has launched a canine modelling agency, open to dogs of all breeds, whose owners are interested in having their dog model for adverts and commercial products.

Sam said: 'Having spent over 20 years as a professional canine photographer, I decided to launch the agency due to the number of people who contact my Okehampton business asking if their dogs could be used in advertisements.

'I've now signed up over 100 dogs in the last few months, and having the dog details and photo on hand means I can show clients a selection of dogs, and quickly organise the right breeds to attend the right shoots.'

This month alone Sam has photographed a Jack Russell terrier, a beagle, and three Labradors for a national pet product campaign.

In November she is looking to photograph a pointer and a lakeland terrier for dog bedding and dog treat adverts.
