Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team received an informative visit from a team psychiatrist on Thursday, March 18.

The doctor gave the team a detailed and captivating presentation on the different types of psychological illnesses that can be encountered on callouts. The teaching allowed the group to get a better understanding on how different illnesses effect casualties and to how to handle people suffering with certain illnesses better.

Trainees also had a navigation and radio communications exercise on Dartmoor with some full team members at night to test their navigation and hone in on radio skills.
