A NIGHT of arrows and 180s at North Tawton Rugby Club also saw the Devon Air Ambulance Trust receive a welcome boost to its coffers.

The Lane Darts League finals night took place at the club on Friday with players representing pubs from across the Okehampton area.

At the finals night, the league winners and winners of the charity matches were presented with their trophies.

Each year the league holds a number of charity matches to raise money for charity.

This season, the league held charity nights at the London Inn and the Fountain Inn in Okehampton and the Copper Key in North Tawton, with nights of mens singles, doubles, and mixed doubles darts.

At the event, league secretary Ruth Luxton, chairman Martin Brock and vice-chair Donna Webber presented Graham King from the Devon Air Ambulance Trust with a cheque for £500 (pictured).

Ruth Luxton said: 'It was a great night, everyone enjoyed themselves. We try to support Devon Air Ambulance and one other charity each year, but with there not being much money around at the moment, we decided to give as much as we could to one, which was the air ambulance. Hopefully, we will be able to support them again next year.'
